Limitations of review findings

The most significant limitation is that the cases reported are all isolated case reports and thus the true prevalence of retinal haemorrhages in these conditions cannot be determined
Given that retinal haemorrhages were likely to be a rare association with seizures, cough and cardiopulmonary resuscitation, larger scale studies would have been preferable to explore these associations
