NSPCC and Cardiff Child Protection Systematic Reviews
Our Core Info leaflet summarises what is currently known about oral injuries and bites
Oral injuries and bites on children is based on a systematic review of all the quality work in the world literature about oral injuries and human bites in relation to child abuse. The information will be of particular interest to dentists, dental care professionals, paediatricians, and Accident and Emergency (A&E) staff. It will also be relevant to nursery nurses, health visitors, school nurses, teachers, legal practitioners, social workers and the police.
Oral injuries and bites on children is one of a series of information leaflets on aspects of physical child abuse based on a collaborative project by the NSPCC and Cardiff Child Protection Systematic Reviews at Cardiff University.
