Cardiff Child PrOtection Systematic REviews – CORE INFO
- A collaboration between the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children and the Early Years research section of the Cochrane Institute of Primary Care and Public Health, Department of Child Health, School of Medicine, Cardiff University
- A series of systematic literature reviews of physical abuse and neglect in children
- Reviewers include paediatricians, child protection specialists and other health professionals from across the UK
- Searches of databases, grey literature and hand searches, based on Centre for Review and Dissemination (CRD) standards
- Added to DARE Database – The Database of Abstracts of Reviews of Effects (DARE) is a collection of quality assessed systematic reviews of health care research identified in the biomedical literature from 1994 onwards. For those reviews which meet the CRD quality criteria, structured abstracts are written summarising the content and methods used to conduct the review and offering a commentary on the rigour with which the review was conducted
- All reviews are regularly updated
- Registered with National Research Register Archive. Registered under ‘Systematic review of physical aspects of child protection’ – enter ‘child protection’ into search facility
